This introductory course is to give students a taste of filmmaking. Students will learn shot sizes and selection; three-act structure in storytelling; how to create and implement shotlists; cinematography principals such as exposure, lens use, and white balance; operation of DSLR cameras to shoot video; and video editing in Adobe Premiere.
Students will create a 2-3 minute silent film project to demonstrate and showcase the skills taught.
